#IRW17 Day 1

IFFD (Indian Federation for Fashion Development) organised  India Runway week 2017 in which designers showcase their Summer Collection. The 8th edition of IRW has some exotic designers showcasing their hard work.
Summers are here, so is the Summer17 Collection by IRW.

One of the most startling cosmetic brands- Colorbar launched its Summer 2017 Limited Edition Collection – Feel the Rain at India Runway Week, Day-1 with Mumbai based designer Ken Ferns.

Kern Ferns portrayed his latest collection which is India’s all season fashion, light but yet impactful. The vibrant colours and exotic designs were hard to resist.
With this followed, Gestures – the Kriti team (a not-for-profit organisation) initiated and incubated a community made enterprise for preserving the artisinal and craft heritage of our country, for conserving the environment and supporting community producers’ livelihood.

The next was, Mughal monuments inspired Banka Silk collection. The uniqueness of the garments will surely entice today’s woman who mastered the fine art of balancing modernity with traditions.
Harsha Bindu Nuthakki came up with the coolest with most fresh prints with the Retro touch. All the ruffles and capes looked amazing on the ramp giving us major summer feels with those kiwi and toucan bird prints.

Designer Gaurika Sharma showcased her spring / summer collection .The theme is ‘ ‘Nihon Kara’ or ‘inspired by Japan’. The garments were soft and flowing in keeping with the oriental theme.

First day programme ended with Designer Varija Bajaj. Her collection titled VRINDAVAN at India Runway Week is a social revolt against “the discrimination” “the inauspiciousness” and “the sigma” attached to a widow demanding her right to look and be Beautiful.
Indian Kathak Dancer Shovana Narain sizzled the ramp as a showstopper for Designer Soutache.

This was all for the Day-1 from India Runway Week 2017 !
Love,

Aishwarya
